The biggest upset of the week belonged to Magnolia, who took down 744th ranked Magnolia, 34-33.

Caney Creek moved up to 898 from 960 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region III District 18. A 34-33 win over the Bulldogs helped the Panthers improve their standing.

Lofton Bean put up the best numbers through the air as Willis lost to Brenham. He finished with a total of four completions for 36 yards and one touchdown. Bean's favorite target this week was Chris Platt, who caught one pass for 23 yards.

Darrien Williams was the best wideout in the league this week as Rudder fell to Magnolia West. Williams tallied two receptions for 29 yards.

Tre Guyton was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 27 carries, he ran for 206 yards as the Rangers fell to Magnolia West.

The Wildkats' Bean and Dillon Bauer have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 4A Region III District 18 in both passing and receiving yards. Bean has thrown for 831 yards this season, while Bauer, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 18 catches for 305 yards. Guyton from Rudder leads the league in rushing with 1032 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Brenham takes on second place Montgomery. Last week, the Cubs beat Willis, while Montgomery defeated Waller.

Shawn Bell's team was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fourth in the league. Magnolia West defeated C.M. Pier's team 30-24 earlier in the week.
