Peru had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the six-goal drubbing they dealt AuSable Valley on Monday. The Nighthawks blew past the Patriots 6-0. The result was nothing new for Peru, who have now won four contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting AuSable Valley from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Alex Watts led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Peru's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for AuSable Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Peru has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 victory against Plattsburgh on the 1st. As for AuSable Valley, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chazy at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th.
