Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newman Catholic). They put the hurt on the Gresham Community Wildcats with a sharp 6-2 win on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Newman Catholic with their most commanding win of the season.

The victory got Newman Catholic back to even at 3-3. As for Gresham Community, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Coincidentally, Newman Catholic and Gresham Community will both be playing Northland Lutheran the next time they take the pitch. The Fighting Cardinals will head out to face the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Wildcats will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
