Soccer Recap: Indianola Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pella Christian on Friday, Indianola came back down to earth. The Indians took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Norwalk Warriors on Tuesday. Indianola have struggled against Norwalk recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Indianola's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6-1. As for Norwalk, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4-3.

Coming up, Indianola is taking a road trip to square off against Southeast Polk at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Southeast Polk's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Norwalk, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Janesville on the 16th.
