Lewis-Palmer skates past Centaurus with ease

Recap: Lewis-Palmer Rangers vs. Centaurus Warriors

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Liberty, the Lewis-Palmer Rangers were happy to have found some success on Friday. They blew past Centaurus 55-28 at home. That 55-28 margin sets a new team best for Lewis-Palmer this season.

Lewis-Palmer got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooke Lordino out in front who scored 19 points. That's the first time this season that Lordino scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Lauryn Graves, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.

Lewis-Palmer's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-3. As for Centaurus, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewis-Palmer won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mesa Ridge at 10:00 a.m. on December 16th. Mesa Ridge is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. Centaurus won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Skyview at 7:00 p.m. on December 16th. Skyview presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Centaurus in Colorado (Skyview is ranked 45th, while Centaurus is ranked 141st).
