Basketball Recap: Platteview Trojans vs. Mercy Monarchs
Platteview won against Plattsmouth on Tuesday with 61 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Trojans blew past the Mercy Monarchs 61-37. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-10.

Alexys Mandel went supernova, going 6-for-9 from beyond the arc to rack up 18 points and three steals. What's more, she also posted a 60% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brea Weldon, who shot 63% from the field en route to 11 points and six steals.
Platteview was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.
