Basketball Recap: Schaumburg Comes Up Short

Schaumburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Resurrection Bandits, falling 48-23. While losing is never fun, the Saxons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 439th, while the Bandits are ranked 173rd).

Schaumburg's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Resurrection, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 17 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Schaumburg will be playing in front of their home fans against South Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Resurrection, they are taking a road trip to challenge Maine West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Resurrection will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
