Volleyball Game Preview: Midlothian Panthers vs. Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes

Midlothian has won seven straight games at home, while Duncanville has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Panthers will host the Panthers and Pantherettes at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Midlothian faced off against Midlothian Heritage on Friday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Jaguars.

Midlothian walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14, 25-19.

Midlothian can attribute much of their success to Layla Jordan, who had seven digs and two aces, and Kyleigh Shaw, who had four digs and three aces. That's the most digs Jordan has posted over her last seven matchups.

Meanwhile, Duncanville made easy work of Horn on Friday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-17, 25-11.

Midlothian's victory bumped their record up to 26-13. As for Duncanville, their win bumped their record up to 36-6.

Midlothian took their victory against Duncanville in their previous matchup back in August of 2021 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers and Pantherettes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
