Soccer Game Preview: Yuba City vs. Del Campo

The Yuba City Honkers will head out on the road to square off against the Del Campo Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Yuba City's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Friday, Yuba City didn't have quite enough to beat River Valley and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Honkers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 423rd, while the Falcons are ranked 166th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Del Campo faced off against Roseville on Friday. Del Campo fell 3-1 to Roseville. The Cougars have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Yuba City now has a losing record at 6-7-3. As for Del Campo, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8-1.

Yuba City came up short against Del Campo in their previous matchup back in January, falling 3-1. Can Yuba City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
