Football Recap: Pennsauken Skates Past Eastside with Ease

Pennsauken got themselves on the board against Eastside on Saturday, but Eastside never followed suit. They breezed past the Tigers to the tune of 27-0. Considering the Indians have won three contests by more than 19 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Randall Blount, who rushed for 133 yards and a pair of TDs. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 50 yards.

Pennsauken's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB eight times. Alex Parker was especially locked on to Eastside's QB and sacked him three times. Joshua Williams got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory (which was Pennsauken's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.3 points over those games. As for Eastside, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Pennsauken will welcome Shawnee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastside, they will head out on the road to take on Winslow Township at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
