Basketball Game Preview: Rosa Fort Lions vs. Horn Lake Eagles + Official Tickets

The Rosa Fort Lions are taking a road trip to face off against the Horn Lake Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Rosa Fort knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Horn Lake likes a good challenge.

On Thursday, Rosa Fort didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Grenada, but they still walked away with a 58-54 victory. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Rosa Fort's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Takaedrius Maxwell, who posted 18 points and three steals. Robert Boyd was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Meanwhile, Horn Lake ended up a good deal behind North Side on Thursday and lost 59-42.

Rosa Fort's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Horn Lake, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Things could have been worse for Rosa Fort, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 93-76 loss to Horn Lake in their previous meeting back in January. Thankfully for the Lions, Jordan Simmons (who went 10-for-18 on his way to 26 points along with six boards and five assists) won't be suiting up this time.
