Volleyball Recap: Dover Eagles vs. Susquehannock Warriors
Dover entered their game against Susquehannock on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Dover Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Susquehannock Warriors. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Dover took a 1-0 lead headed into the second set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-9, 25-14, 25-17.
Lily Morton went supernova for Susquehannock, getting 33 digs and seven aces. The dominant performance gave Morton a new career-high in aces. Another player making a difference was Machenzie Turk, who had two aces and 19 assists.
Dover's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Susquehannock, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
