Baseball Game Preview: Blackhawk Cougars vs. North Catholic Trojans

For the second straight game, Blackhawk will face off against North Catholic. The Cougars are taking a road trip to square off against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Blackhawk came up short against North Catholic and fell 7-4.

Elijah White was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Connor Welsh was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Stephen Knallay was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Blackhawk's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for North Catholic, their win bumped their record up to an identical 7-5.
