Baseball Game Preview: Tri-Valley Bulldogs vs. North Schuylkill Spartans

The Tri-Valley Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the North Schuylkill Spartans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tri-Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

On Tuesday, Tri-Valley needed a bit of extra time to put away Pottsville. They won by a run and slipped past the Crimson Tide 7-6.

Meanwhile, North Schuylkill posted their closest win since May 26, 2024 on Monday. They had just enough and edged out South Williamsport 4-2.

The team relied heavily on Chase Slotcavage, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Tri-Valley's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for North Schuylkill, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5.

Tri-Valley skirted past North Schuylkill 8-6 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
