Bothell extended their road winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Charlotte Lipkin. The Bothell Cougars were the clear victor by a 74-52 margin over the Mercer Island Islanders on Saturday thanks in part to Lipkin, who shot 4-for-6 from long range and almost dropped a double-double on 34 points and nine boards. She has been hot for a while, having posted 17 or more points the last ten times she's played.
Mercer Island lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Clara Stowe, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Stowe is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Russell, who posted 13 points.
Bothell's record is now 13-4. As for Mercer Island, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Bothell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-29 win against Renton on the 27th. Mercer Island has also already played their next match, a 65-55 loss against Inglemoor on the 29th.
