Baseball Recap: Stockdale Takes a Loss

Stockdale blew Luling out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Luling got their revenge. The Brahmas fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Brahmas have suffered since March 26, 2024.

Stockdale has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11-1 record this season. As for Luling, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Stockdale is set to challenge their familiar foe Nixon-Smiley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Luling will face off against rival Karnes City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
