Football Game Preview: Veritas Prep Falcons vs. Highland Prep Honey Badgers

The Veritas Prep Falcons are taking a road trip to square off against the Highland Prep Honey Badgers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Veritas Prep will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Veritas Prep will bounce into Friday's game after beating Benson, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Falcons blew past the Bobcats 29-6 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won three contests by 23 points or more so far this season.

Rocco Guido had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 53 yards and two scores, while also throwing for 248 yards and one touchdown while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt. Those 53 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. 127 of Guido's passing yards were hauled in by Baylor Arnold, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Highland Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They pulled ahead with an 8-7 photo finish over Highland Prep West on Friday.

Veritas Prep's record is now 5-0. As for Highland Prep, their record now sits at 2-3.
