Basketball Recap: South Hagerstown Comes Up Short

South Hagerstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Williamsport Wildcats and fell 96-60. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-46 back in January.

Ceonta Wilmore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Williamsport, going 11-for-13 to rack up 30 points and seven rebounds. Wilmore is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 12 games he's played. Zay Oree was another key player, putting up 15 points in addition to eight assists and six boards.

South Hagerstown's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Williamsport, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Hagerstown will face off against Francis Scott Key at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Williamsport, they will head out on the road to face off against Boonsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Williamsport's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
