Recap: Coudersport Falcons vs. Galeton Tigers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Portville, the Coudersport Falcons were happy to have found some success on Friday. They snuck past Galeton with a 52-46 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Coudersport also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Galeton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braiden Cimino, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. The game was Cimino's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was John Martin, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
The win got Coudersport back to even at 4-4. As for Galeton, they bumped their record down to 4-6 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Coudersport won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Union at 12:00 p.m. on January 6th. Union is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Galeton, they will be playing at home against Port Allegany at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Port Allegany is ranked 541st, while Galeton is ranked 562nd).
