Baseball Recap: Bishop McDevitt Find Success

Bishop McDevitt proved they can win big on Friday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Gettysburg Warriors 6-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-4 back in April.

Bishop McDevitt's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Logan Boone, who went 2-for-6 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave Boone a new career-high.

Bishop McDevitt now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Gettysburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.

Looking ahead, Bishop McDevitt is taking a road trip to challenge Oley Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Lynx will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Crusaders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gettysburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spring Grove at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 3.6, the Rockets 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
