Preview: Lemmon Cowboys vs. McIntosh Tigers

Lemmon is 10-0 against McIntosh since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Lemmon Cowboys will head out on the road to take on the McIntosh Tigers at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lemmon has six straight wins, McIntosh has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Lemmon can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Harding County 52-24 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Lemmon has posted yet this season.
Meanwhile, McIntosh was the victim of a rough 68-42 loss at the hands of Wakpala on Tuesday. McIntosh has not had much luck with Wakpala recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Lemmon's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. As for McIntosh, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Everything came up roses for Lemmon against McIntosh in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 70-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lemmon since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
