Softball Recap: Carolina Forest Has No Trouble Against Myrtle Beach

Carolina Forest not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 21st. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Myrtle Beach Seahawks. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Seahawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Kaysen Warehime spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Carolina Forest got a massive performance out of Mady Eason, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs Eason has posted since back in March. Zoey Wohlers was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Carolina Forest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Myrtle Beach only posted a batting average of .182.

Carolina Forest's win bumped their record up to 12-8-1. As for Myrtle Beach, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-10.

Looking ahead, Myrtle Beach will welcome Blacksburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carolina Forest will be paying especially close attention to the Seahawks' contest: after the Seahawks faces off against the Wildcats, they'll take on Carolina Forest again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
