Maple Mountain snaps seven-game streak of wins on the road

The Maple Mountain Golden Eagles suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 50-27 walloping at the hands of Timpview. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Maple Mountain in their matchups with Timpview: they've now lost seven in a row.

Several Golden Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaynee Tanner, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Kylee Gause was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds.

Maple Mountain's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4. As for Timpview, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maple Mountain will take on Wasatch at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Wasatch is ranked 14th, while Maple Mountain is ranked 29th). As for Timpview, they will head out on the road to take on Spanish Fork at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Spanish Fork is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
