Basketball Recap: Spring Gets the Win

Spring hadn't done well against Klein Forest recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Lions walked away with a 55-43 victory over the Eagles. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 42-34 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jaylan Tran was nothing short of spectacular: he dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Beal, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Spring has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. As for Klein Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Spring will be taking part in a tournament against Cypress Park at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. As for Klein Forest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Foster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
