Basketball Recap: Myles Jarrett's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mifflin over Beechcroft

Mifflin lost against Beechcroft back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The game between the Mifflin Punchers and the Beechcroft Cougars didn't end well, with the Mifflin Punchers falling 68-53. The Punchers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mifflin's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Myles Jarrett, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 12 points in addition to eight assists and five boards. Yaqub Intilo was another key player, going 5 of 8 en route to 13 points and six rebounds.

Mifflin's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-7. As for Beechcroft, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-7.

Mifflin will take on Franklin Heights at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mifflin is facing Franklin Heights at the right time seeing as Franklin Heights is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Beechcroft has already played their next matchup (against Centennial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
