It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lockwood had no problem doing just that on Monday. They put the hurt on the Oak Ridge Blue Jays with a sharp 12-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 14 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Lockwood's eighth in a row) raised their record to 24-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Oak Ridge, with the loss, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 24-3.

Lockwood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Concordia on the 27th. As for Oak Ridge, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Bernie on the 28th.
