Deep Run had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Hermitage on Friday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by  a  12-2 margin over the Panthers. Considering the Wildcats have won four matches by more than six  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Kaden Staffenberg looked comfortable as he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Henry Jennings was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI. That  triple was  his first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Jacob Saunders, who  got on base  in both of his plate appearances with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Deep Run's record is now 8-2. As for Hermitage, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deep Run will square off against Maggie Walker at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Maggie Walker will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something Deep Run surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hermitage, they will take on Patrick Henry at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday.
