Allen East has gone 8-2 against Jefferson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mustangs will venture away from home to face off against the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Allen East will be strutting in after a victory while Jefferson will be coming in after a defeat.

Allen East had lost five straight headed into Tuesday's contest, but Aniya Prowant didn't let it get to six. The Mustangs came out on top against Spencerville by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Prowant, who had 37 digs and three aces. She has been hot, having posted 16 or more digs the last seven times she's played.
Allen East had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-20.
Meanwhile, Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Crestview.
While Jefferson was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-23, 25-16.
Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Allen East, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-13.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Allen East has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.8 aces per game. However, it's not like Jefferson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything went Allen East's way against Jefferson when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as Allen East made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
