 It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mississinewa can now relate to. They lost  13-7 to the Delta Eagles on Saturday. Mississinewa was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Delta apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in May of 2021.
 Mississinewa got a good showing from  Kavion Martin, who   tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Martin has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Kohen Bailey made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.  Jaren Fortney was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 4-for-4.
 On Delta's side,  Zane Cline made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  tossed four innings while giving up just two earned  (and four unearned) runs off   four  hits. Cline was also stellar in the batter's box,  firing off two  home runs, three  RBI,  and a  double while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Campbell Light, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Lane Norton, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Mississinewa's loss dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Delta, the  victory was  the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-8.
 Mississinewa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Delta, they are on the road again  on Saturday to play Twin Lakes. Both teams will come into the  contest having just posted big wins, so someone is set to suffer a big change in fortunes.
