Volleyball Recap: First Baptist School Comes Up Short + How To Watch

First Baptist School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ashley Hall Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

First Baptist School started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-16.

Ashley Hall's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Minka Tang, who had nine digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Finnegan, who had seven digs and three aces.

First Baptist School's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Ashley Hall, their victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 6-9.

Looking ahead, First Baptist School will head out to face off against Cathedral Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ashley Hall, they will host Pinewood Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
