Soccer Game Preview: St. Vincent-St. Mary vs. North

The St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish will challenge the North Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, St. Vincent-St. Mary turned things around against Woodridge on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 3-0 shutout. The matchup marked St. Vincent-St. Mary's most dominant victory of the season.

Meanwhile, North was able to grind out a solid win over New Philadelphia on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1.

North's victory bumped their record up to 6-2-4. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-8-2.

St. Vincent-St. Mary might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from North when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Can the Fighting Irish avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
