Basketball Game Preview: Miramar Patriots vs. Deerfield Beach Bucks

The Miramar Patriots just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Deerfield Beach Bucks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Miramar will be strutting in after a win while Deerfield Beach will be coming in after a loss.

Miramar can't be too worried about heading out to take on Deerfield Beach: they just beat Central at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Miramar had just enough and edged Central out 70-68.

Meanwhile, Deerfield Beach ended up a good deal behind Blanche Ely on Friday and lost 57-40. While losing is never fun, the Bucks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Tigers are ranked 50th).

Deerfield Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Miramar, their victory bumped their record up to 16-8.

Miramar took a serious blow against Deerfield Beach when the teams last played back in November of 2022, falling 69-33. Can Miramar avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
