St. Joseph had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let the United Longhorns onto the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Flyers who have now won 15 matches in a row dating back to last season.

The team relied heavily on Gianna Morris, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazmyn Gamez, who scored a run and stole one base while going 1-for-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph has already played their next contest (against Industrial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. United has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Hebbronville.
