Softball Recap: Orcas Island Comes Up Short

Orcas Island lost against Friday Harbor back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Orcas Island came up short against Friday Harbor, falling 16-3. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Orcas Island's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-5. As for Friday Harbor, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.

While Orcas Island had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
