Football Recap: Baird Falls to Milford in First Game of Season

Baird unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 58-12 defeat at the hands of the Milford Bulldogs on Friday.

Despite the loss, Baird still got an impressive performance from Kendell Miller, who rushed for 70 yards and one score on only five carries. Miller's longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baird is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Bryson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Milford, they will challenge Lucas Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
