Recap: Delavan Panthers vs. Peoria Christian Chargers
The Delavan Panthers lost against the Peoria Christian Chargers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Delavan took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Peoria Christian. Delavan has not had much luck with Peoria Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Delavan lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Micah Brockhouse, who scored 16 points. Brockhouse scored a full 33.3% of Delavan's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Hansen, who scored ten points.
Delavan's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Peoria Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Delavan and Peoria Heights will face off at 5:00 p.m. on January 13th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Peoria Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Canton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
