Basketball Recap: McKinley Takes a Loss

If McKinley was feeling good fresh off their 63-40 takedown of Harding on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs lost 84-62 to the Brush Arcs on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 67-34 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Despite the loss, McKinley still got an impressive performance from Mya Taylor, who went 13-for-26 to rack up 40 points and five boards.

Tatiana Mason went supernova For Brush., dropping a double-double with 38 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nylah Mason, who posted 20 points along with six boards and three steals.

McKinley's record is now 1-1. As for Brush, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, McKinley will be playing in front of their home fans against Westerville Central at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Brush, they will head out to take on Olmsted Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
