Basketball Game Preview: Appleton West Terrors vs. Plymouth Panthers

The Appleton West Terrors will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Plymouth Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Appleton West has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Plymouth will arrive with three straight wins.

Last Friday, Appleton West took a blow against Fond du Lac, falling 85-54. While losing is never fun, the Terrors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 370th, while the Cardinals are ranked 60th).

Meanwhile, Plymouth posted their biggest victory since February 2nd on Saturday. They blew past Sheboygan Falls 75-41.

Appleton West's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Plymouth, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Appleton West ended up a good deal behind Plymouth when the teams last played back in December of 2023, losing 78-61. Can Appleton West avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
