Hickman took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Blair Oaks, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Kewpies came out on top in a nail-biter against the Falcons on Thursday, sneaking past 4-2. While the Kewpies didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Hickman's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Blair Oaks, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3.

Coincidentally, Hickman and Blair Oaks will both be playing Staley the next time they take the field. The Falcons will head out to face the Falcons at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Kewpies will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
