Golden Sierra's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Elite to the tune of 60-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Grizzlies.

Golden Sierra's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Andrew Gerondakis, who threw for 297 yards and four TDs while picking up 14.9 yards per attempt, and Noah Prine, who rushed for 115 yards and one score. Those 297 passing yards gave Gerondakis a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abraham Ware, who rushed for 66 yards and one touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Golden Sierra was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 179 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Highlands was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 53-26 loss at the hands of Rio Vista. The Scots were down 38-14 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Golden Sierra will have to contain Frank Cady as he made an impact in Highlands' last game. He rushed for 72 yards and one TD on only eight carries, and also threw for 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Makeyo Butler, who picked up 31 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Golden Sierra's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Highlands, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

It's a different story for Highlands, though, as they've been averaging only 242.2 total yards. Will Golden Sierra be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Scots flip the script?
Golden Sierra lost to Highlands at home by a decisive 18-0 margin in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Scots' Walter Lewis, who rushed for 139 yards and one TD on only 13 carries, and also threw for 102 yards and one touchdown. Now that the Grizzlies know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
