Baseball Game Preview: Ansonia Tigers vs. New Bremen Cardinals

Ansonia hasn't had much luck against New Bremen recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Tigers will welcome the Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. Ansonia has given up an average of 10 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ansonia is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Fort Recovery on Saturday. They lost 17-1 to the Indians.

Meanwhile, New Bremen got themselves on the board against Botkins on Friday, but Botkins never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 10-0 win. That looming 10-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cardinals yet this season.

New Bremen now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Ansonia, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Ansonia couldn't quite finish off New Bremen in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 and fell 2-0. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
