Helix is a perfect 10-0 against Mount Miguel since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Highlanders will host the Matadors at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Helix's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Thursday's struggle, when Mater Dei Catholic hitters got past them. The Highlanders came up short against the Crusaders on Thursday, falling 10-1. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Highlanders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Helix saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ta'Tiannah Wright, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 21 runs the game before, Mount Miguel was a bit more limited in their matchup last Tuesday. They lost 14-1 to Lincoln.

Mount Miguel has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Helix, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.

Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Helix hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .381. However, it's not like Mount Miguel struggles in that department as they've averaged .341. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Helix took their victory against Mount Miguel when the teams last played back in May of 2019 by a conclusive 17-1 score. Will the Highlanders repeat their success, or do the Matadors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
