Softball Recap: Leo Extends Home Winning Streak to 12

Leo proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 11) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Fort Wayne Northrop Bruins. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Luci Schott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sara Hoeppner, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.
