Manteca had won five straight home games dating back to last season and Nikko Juarez did his part to make it six on Friday. The Buffaloes breezed past the Sierra Timberwolves to the tune of 74-7 thanks in part to Juarez, who rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 92 yards.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Manteca, adding 24 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Quinn Martinez, who ran a punt back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a kickoff return touchdown from him.
Manteca's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Xyloh Kuresa, Jose Rios, and Robert Nelson, who each picked up one sack apiece.
