Muenster has gone 9-1 against Alvord recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Hornets will face off against the Bulldogs at 9:00 a.m. Muenster is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Hornets on Monday. Muenster never let Era get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Muenster might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.

Lilly Johnson was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Aldriedge, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Alvord was able to grind out a solid victory over Chico on Monday, taking the game 5-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.
Makayla Gresham made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Gresham was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Harleigh Black and Bella McDermott did most of the damage at the plate: Black scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while McDermott went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Those two runs gave Black a new career-high.
Muenster pushed their record up to 13-7-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Alvord, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 4-7.
Muenster's speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's contest. The Hornets have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Alvord, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Muenster continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Muenster's way against Alvord in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Muenster made off with a 14-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
