Basketball Recap: Wildwood's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Wildwood had lost five straight headed into Monday's match, but Brian Cunniff didn't let it get to six. The Wildwood Warriors took their game on Monday with ease, bagging a 77-32 victory over Salem County Vo-Tech thanks in part to Cunniff, who went 15 for 26 en route to 40 points and seven boards. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Mawhinney, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 14 points along with seven blocks and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in blocks.

Wildwood's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-6. As for Salem County Vo-Tech, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Wildwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 91-71 defeat against Clayton on the 15th. Salem County Vo-Tech has also already played their next game (against Pitman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
