Northview Academy is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Volunteer on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Cougars took a blow against the Falcons, falling 41-8. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Meanwhile, Seymour can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. Everything went their way against Sullivan East as they made off with a 36-13 victory. That looming 36-13 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Seymour's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-4. As for Northview Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Northview Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Seymour in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, but they still walked away with a 41-35 victory.
