Baseball Recap: Hudson Beats Menomonie for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Hudson won the last time they faced Menomonie and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Raiders walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Mustangs. The Raiders' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Bennett Brathol was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Brathol was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

In other pitching news, Mark Susa looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit.

Back at the plate, Steele Homme and Sam Manchester did most of the damage at the plate: Homme went 3-for-4 with one home run and three runs, while Manchester went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Logan Hagman was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

Hudson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Menomonie only managed three hits.

Hudson's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average this season. As for Menomonie, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Hudson will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
