Baseball Recap: Akron-Westfield Takes a Loss

Akron-Westfield was the 11-0 winner over Lawton-Bronson when they last played one another back in May, but their luck changed this time around. The Westerners took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Tuesday.

Akron-Westfield's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Lawton-Bronson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Akron-Westfield will challenge George-Little Rock at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.06 runs per game on average), something the Westerners will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lawton-Bronson, they will square off against Western Christian on Saturday.
