Softball Game Preview: Georgetown G-Men vs. St. Ursula Academy Bulldogs

The Georgetown G-Men will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the St. Ursula Academy Bulldogs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Georgetown lost 14-4 to Eastern on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the G-Men in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Carolyn Edmisten was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, St. Ursula Academy has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.5 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They came up short against Hamilton, falling 11-4. The loss was the Bulldogs' first of the season.

J Booth made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was A Cosgray, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Ursula Academy fell to 3-1. As for Georgetown, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
